Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Palettes

Hi everyone! Long time no post but I'm back for the meantime. Like I said in my previous post that I have started working and I love my job! I am a nurse and I was placed in OB/NURSERY at the hospital so that means I get to work with moms and babies all day. It's amazing. My 8-hour shift goes by so quickly and I'm learning so many new things that'll be useful to me when I finally decide to have a child! Anyways, enough about my life. What I have here is Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Palettes. During the Black Friday sale, I went a bit crazy and ordered three palettes. How could I not? They were on sale and Coastal Scents eyeshadows are so buttery and glides on perfectly when swatched.

So I purchased these three palettes and they are Painted Lady, Joli Colibri, and Fairy Fuchsia. I haven't used them on my eyes but I was so excited to swatch them so if the lighting is a bit off, I apologize but I'd say it's almost accurate!
Coastal Scents: Fairy Fuchsia, Joli Colibri, and Painted Lady
When I bought these, I was so hesitant because there are only a few colors that I actually like in each palette. I'm not much of a bright, colorful, pop of color girl, especially on my eyes. I do an occasional shimmer here and there but I have never used blue, purple, and green on my eyes. So during the purchase, it was really impulsive. I was pulled in by the Black Friday sales and I thought what the heck, they were only $4.95 each. If it doesn't work out, they can be given as gifts!
Fairy Fuchsia
The first palette shown and swatch was Fairy Fuchsia, my initial thought was the name didn't match the palette and these colors looked so dull and that I was going to hate it. I finally swatched it today and my gosh, I think it's my favorite palette and I think I'm going to be using it the most due to the colors being so familiar to me. These colors are all so useable on a daily basis. It is definitely your go-to neutral palette if you decide to purchase it. Also, all the colors swatched smoothly. I love it!
Joli Colibri
Next palette is Joli Colibri and look at those blue! It's so beautiful. And that pink is calling my name. Such a big change for me to have these kinds of colors but I want to expand my eyeshadow palette colors instead of just always having neutral/warm eyeshadows. Also, that black was surprisingly pigmented and not patchy at all. Definitely a must have too!
Painted Lady
Lastly, Painted Lady is the first palette I bought impulsively. I thought why not give it a try since I was purchasing a few brushes for myself. I didn't wanna pay for $4 shipping without making good use of it. Haha! I'm not really in awe of this palette. I mean it's okay? But some of the colors did not apply smoothly, if you see the first, second, tenth, and twelfth shades, they sucked. I had to dig in so much into the palette just to get a decent color and it's still not that good. However for less than $5, still grab one for yourself because the other colors in this palette are stunning.

To end this blog, I did have some issue with Coastal Scents shipping during the Black Friday sale. They usually ship my package within the first 24 hours or even less than that but during their big sale, I waited about 9 days for it to be shipped and an additional 6 days for my package to arrive. They deleted my comments on their instagram when I asked for customer service, I sent an email to them and they replied 4 days later when my problem was already resolved. They ignored many customers and their policy is they will not give you a refund until your package arrives to your door then you have to use your own money to ship it back and that's when they will refund you. Their customer service is awful and whoever's handling their instagram account is just rude.

Colourpop Cosmetics "Element of Surprise" Eyeshadow Palette

Hey everyone! It's been a long week for me and I'm sure for some of you too! I started my first week in my unit OB/NSY at the hospital and I love it! I get to wear pink, take care of babies, and their mommies! It's the best. Anyways, what I have here today is Colourpop Cosmetics Element of Surprise palette. I knew I had to get this palette the first time it came out but I never did and waited for the sales! I actually purchased this in Dote with $5 off with someone's code and I had free shipping and it was on sale for $12.80. So basically, I only had to pay $7.80 for this palette. What a deal! Use my code "VIUF" in Dote shopping app if you're an Apple user to get $5 and free shipping as well.
Colourpop Cosmetics Element of Surprise
This palette is so beautiful and has so many pops of color! I'm not really one to use bright colors on my lids because I do love my warm/neutrals but I couldn't help it. This is so perfect for the holidays and I can't wait to use it!
Element of Surprise
Of course, these are smaller than the regular sized pans but for $16 retail I can't complain! All the shadows were so buttery and the duochromes are flippin' shiny! I couldn't believe my eyes when I was swatching them with a primer. You can see each glitter freckle and I just fell in love.

Swatches of Element of Surprise
I didn't have the best lighting for the swatches because I came home quite late that day and I was too excited and swatched it. Nonetheless, you can still see how beautiful it swatched. None of them were patchy and applied effortless on my arm.

Well, what are you waiting for? Grab this palette as soon as possible on Dote shopping app to save more money and use my code "VIUF" for $5. However, do not feel obligated to use my code as there are other codes available online :-)

Felt Tip Liners (Tarte, EM Cosmetics, and Essence)

Hi everyone! Another week ahead of us but don't let that put you down because that only means we're only 14 days away from Christmas, yay! I may not be as active as last week because I finally start my job orientation this week but I hope it won't be too bad. I do have many make up items coming in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

I just want to share my favorite eyeliners and it's Tarte Longwear Precision Eyeliner from the collection Lights, Camera, Lashes, EM Cosmetics Illustrative Liner in Brush Tip, and Essence eyeliner pen in waterproof.
Essence, EM Cosmetics, and Tarte Felt Tip Liners
Tarte, EM Cosmetics, and Essence
I love all these equally for all different reasons. First, I love the pigmentation of the Tarte Felt Tip Liner, however, it can be pricey and costs $20. I do use eyeliner almost daily so I can't always be purchasing that brand so I decided to look for dupes and I found Essence Eyeliner Pen and I fell in love that I bought multiples. How can I not love it? It's also pigmented and it does the job and the great part about it is it's only $2.99. Sadly, it does dry up pretty quickly and I have to buy a new one every 2 months, also if the cap/cover is a little loose, it'll dry up as well. Then, I received Michelle Phan's makeup brand on one of my ipsy bags and it's her EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner. This is what I've been using for months now. I believe I received this around April and it's still going strong and has not dried out at all. All I can say is, it's definitely worth $15.
Felt Tip Eyeliner Swatches
I was never found of gel liners or liquid eyeliners because I find it hard to maneuver. I feel felt tip brushes is the best option for me because I can really do a sharp, winged eyeliner. I have been doing my eyeliner since I was in the 7th grade so about 10 years now so safe to say, I can do it pretty okay.

These are all in different price ranges and all work great in my opinion. I would definitely repurchase each one when I run out.

Hair Oils Review For Normal/Dry Hair (Marc Anthony and Pure Brazilian)

Hi guys! Thank goodness it's finally Friday! We survived another week and 18 more days of sleep and it's Christmas! I know I'm always counting down for Christmas because duh, it's only the most exciting time of the year. You get to sleep in a little longer, you wake up, open presents, then out for lunch. Or at least that's what my Christmas routine was for the past 12 years. However, that may change because ya girl finally got a job at our hospital. It's bittersweet but this is one of the sacrifices I have to make by being a nurse. Anyways, enough about that and let's talk about hair oils! I swear, I thought I never needed any type of oil for my hair until I used these.
Marc Anthony's Nourshing Argan Oil of Morocco and Pure Brazilian Shine
Ultra Light Nourishing Oil
Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco
The first one is Marc Anthony's Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco. Whew, that was a mouthful. I received this as one of my items in my previous ipsy bags and decided to try it out and I fell in love. I do have dry/damaged hair because I have been dyeing my hair since I was in the fourth grade. I know, my mama let me do that. I'm 23 years old now so that's been 13 years of coloring my hair! However, this argan oil helps me out a lot with that. This oil smoothens and softens my hair and also helps with frizziness that I have from time to time. It's very light on my hair and I can't even tell that I applied any product unless of course I smell my hair. Don't get me started on the smell, it smells freaking amazing. I can't quite pinpoint what the scent is but I love it. It also has Shea butter and Vitamin E with it, so yay!
Ultra Light Nourishing Oil
Next hair oil is the Pure Brazilian Ultra Light Nourishing Oil which I also received from my ipsy bag. I actually received two of these babies so thanks ipsy! This hair oil is a blend of different exotic oils such as Camellia oil from Japan and Abyssinian oil from Africa, along with some seaweed and Vitamin E. I love this hair oil because it's very lightweight when I apply it and non-greasy. All I have to do is use a quarter size amount of the product on my palm and rub it all over my hair. The smell is also very distinctive to the first hair oil. This contains no alcohol and vegan! It is in a glass bottle so you have to be real careful with it.

My natural hair with direct lighting from outside
I also added a photos of my hair after applying the Pure Brazilian hair oil after just air drying. I do wash my hair everyday because even though I love these oils, my follicles produce an insanely amount of oil if I don't wash it after 24 hours, it's very noticeable and I just don't like looking greasy. Yes, this is my natural hair. I don't straighten it or use any type of heat(unless necessary) because it is already damaged as it is due to dyeing it every 3-4 months.
Natural Hair(outside)

I also love keeping my hair long which is why I have issues with cutting my hair so the tips are quite dry, which is why these oils are very much needed! This review is quite long but I wanted to take a break from makeup. Hope you enjoyed reading!

Makeup Revolution New-Trals vs Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution New-Trals vs Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette
Hi everyone! It's finally Thursday, whew! This week went by pretty quick, don't you think? I'm so proud of myself for posting everyday this week and I'm so lucky and thankful to have so many products to show and share with all of you. Today's post is Makeup Revolution's New-Trals vs Neutrals palette. This was my very first item that I purchased from Makeup Revolution brand and I bought it through Ulta because they were having a Buy one, Get one 50% off. I believe I bought it around August last year. I knew I had to get it because the colors were just calling my name. It was like having a mini Morphe 35O palette.
A warm toned neutral palette
At first, I didn't expect much from this palette because it only cost me $12. This palette is very warm toned, it shares a collection of nudes and browns to burgundy and terracotta to peaches and pink. The formula is amazing. I fell in love with it as soon as I swatched it because the formula is very buttery and the metallics are super pigmented just like the mattes. It also came with a tiny eye brush but I never used that because it just didn't feel fluffy enough to blend the eyeshadow but still a thoughtful thing to include especially for beginners. I'd also like to talk about the packaging, it comes with a mirror as well inside the palette. The texture of the outside packaging is very sleek, although, I can't see which palette I'm reaching for amongst all my other Makeup Revolution palettes because it is not see through. Also, I have kept this in my makeup bag for a little bit and I noticed it got dirty real quick. Still, this palette is worth buying!
Packaging is matte with a big mirror inside
Of course, eyeshadow palettes aren't complete without the swatches. These are so creamy except for some colors but still, for $12, you can't complain. Also, there are so many looks you can do with this palette. However, I haven't been reaching for it in awhile because it was in the very bottom of my pile but I think I'm gonna get this out and give it another try!
T-B: Cool, Style, Partial, Mode, Adapt, Buff, Suit, and Strong
T-B: Bias, Neutral, Personal, Vogue, Trend, New-Tral, Tone, and Custom
This palette is gluten free and vegan and Makeup Revolution is also cruelty free and a budget friendly brand, it's a win-win situation for everybody.

Colourpop Cosmetics Blotted Lipstick

Colourpop Cosmetics Blotted Lip
We're halfway through the week, everybody! 19 more days til Christmas Day, yay! Still trying to keep up with my blog reviews everyday. I've decided that I'll write one everyday during weekdays and weekends off. What I have here today is Colourpop Cosmetics Blotted Lipsticks. These were released back in May this year and I became obsessed with it. My all-time favorite is Drip and I use it everyday because it's so lightweight and it gives you the right amount of stain on your lips and very buildable with a few more application. I've swatched it with one swipe and three swipes to see the difference it makes.
One swipe for top and three swipes for bottom
Drip is a warm, rosey mauve.
Candy Floss is in warm terracotta.
Ice Cube is a cool-toned berry.
Brain Freeze is a bubble gum pink.
Colourpop Cosmetics Blotted Lip
Drip, Candy Floss, Ice Cube, Brain Freeze
These are only $5 and they are smaller than the usual lippie stix but they seem wider in width compared to the regular lipsticks. I've been using my Drip Blotted Lip almost everyday since May and there's still a lot of product left. What I didn't like about this lippie though is that when I tried to check how much product I had left for Drip, the whole stick just fell off. I tried to contact Colourpop Cosmetics Customer Support but they haven't gotten back to me. I didn't bother to check the other three because I'm afraid it'd fall as well.

Super lightweight and buildable!
These do transfer a little and I would say it's more like a lip balm once it is on your lips, more of a cream/matte finish. Packaging is okay, nothing special yet still cute. Super convenient to have it on the go because it's pretty small so it's easy to put it in your wallet or a small purse. They're all available right now on the website!

Colourpop Cosmetics New Matte X Lippie Stix

Happy Tuesday, everyone! We survived another Monday! What I have here is Colourpop Cosmetics new lippie stix in my favorite formula, Matte X. I don't even understand why the "matte" lippie stix still exists when the matte x have such better formula, it seriously glides on like butter and it's so soft on the lips and not tacky at all compared to my old matte lippie stix from Colourpop. I purchased these along with six other lippie stix and blotted lipsticks during their buy one, get one black friday sale. The colors I purchased were Can't Wait, Candy Paint, With the Band, After Shock and New Rules.

Look at that holo!
I've also swatched the lippie stix, as always. Please excuse my undone nails, I've been so lazy lately that I don't even feel like fixing it up.

Can't Wait, Candy Paint, With the Band, After Shock, and New Rules
Can't Wait is a muted rose.
Candy Paint is a true terracotta.
With the Band is a peachy pink.
After Shock is a classic pink. (My favorite, reminds me of Cami)
New Rules is in dusty mauve.
Indoors with direct lighting from sunlight
Colourpop Cosmetics Matte X Lippie Stix

Ever since Colourpop came out with the Matte X formula, I couldn't bring myself to purchase any other regular lippie stix. These lippie stix are available on their website but I'm not entirely sure how long or if this is limited edition for the holidays. However, these only costs $5 a pop and it's definitely worth trying. These do transfer a little bit and since it's so buttery and easy to apply, it may run on the edges of your lips so it's best to use them with a matching lip liner.
